In the second quarter of 2024, the US market for iOS personal finance applications saw a variety of trends in downloads, revenue, and weekly active users, as reported by Sensor Tower.
Splitwise experienced a notable rise in downloads, starting the quarter with around 192K and peaking at 411K in mid-June. Weekly active users also grew, from 1.25M to 1.7M. Revenue for the app fluctuated, reaching a high of $43K in late April.
Cleevio s.r.o.'s Spendee Money & Budget Planner showed a steady revenue in early April at $16K, with a peak at $33K in the following week. Downloads, however, dipped to lows of 2K in late April, and weekly active users gradually declined from 136K to 97K by the end of the quarter.
YNAB witnessed varied revenue with a high of $36K in late April. Downloads were minimal, with the app not recording any new downloads for several weeks throughout the quarter.
Monefy: Money Tracker by Reflectly ApS showed a spike in revenue mid-April reaching $23K but saw minimal revenue or no revenue at all in subsequent weeks. Downloads showed a slight increase towards the end of the quarter, while weekly active users remained relatively stable around the 180K mark.
Buddy: Budget Planner App had no reported revenue for most of the quarter except for mid-May when it hit $15K. Downloads remained low, with a small peak of 23K in mid-May. The app's weekly active users data was only reported once, at 14K in mid-May.
